Legal framework and ethical commitment to data privacy within the telecommunications security research community.
TelcoSec Tools is built on a foundation of ethical security research, collaboration, and minimal data disclosure. Our primary objective is to equip engineers, auditors, and cellular security researchers with tools to identify vulnerabilities in standard radio access networks and core signaling protocols. Because we respect the privacy of researchers and operators operating in sensitive spaces, we enforce a strict policy of minimal logging and absolute transparency in how research data is generated and managed.
We do not collect, harvest, or monitor personal signaling captures (such as PCAP logs, IMSI scan results, or radio telemetry) processed by the tools indexed in this console. All computational parsing, hardware calculations, and signal decoding occur locally on the user's workstation. Our web-based interface functions as a distribution directory and educational gateway, meaning that your technical audit data remains entirely in your control and never crosses our network border.
IP addresses and basic user-agent data are stored in encrypted, transient server logs for a maximum of 30 days. This logging is strictly used for security auditing, rate limiting, and protecting our public web server endpoints from automated denial-of-service (DDoS) exploitation. We do not sell, rent, or distribute this log metadata to any advertising networks.
All log files are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 block encryption. Access to server logs is strictly restricted to certified network administrators under role-based access controls (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA). We perform regular automated cleanup crons that permanently delete expired log files, ensuring that no stale IP addresses or server metrics are retained beyond the required 30-day window.
To analyze web performance and support our professional training academy, this console integrates a limited number of industry-standard telemetry services. These include Google Analytics 4 for aggregate visitor stats, Microsoft Clarity for usability tracking, Cloudflare Turnstile for secure anti-bot validation on forms, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag for professional conversion mapping.
These integrations utilize third-party cookies to record interaction metadata. If you register a training lead via our HubSpot CRM form, your email and opt-in status are transmitted securely over TLS and stored in accordance with HubSpot's enterprise-grade compliance policy. You may disable cookies in your browser settings or use content blockers without affecting your access to the core tools directory.
For researchers and visitors accessing our console from the European Economic Area (EEA), we process security log metadata under the legal basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to guarantee the security, stability, and integrity of our research platform. Any training leads submitted via our HubSpot form are processed under your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which can be revoked at any time.
Under GDPR and other international privacy frameworks, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or permanent erasure of any personal data we hold about you (such as your submitted email address). To initiate a data request or opt out of our training newsletters, please contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@telcosec.net. We process and resolve all valid requests within 30 business days.
